Reminders

  •  Please check the doors as you leave to be sure they are securely closed.

  •  Please keep ALL doors to the auditorium and lobbies closed when no one is using the auditorium

  • Please remember to lock the doors to the baptistery following a baptism

  • When Borrowing Something from the church building, please call the church office to see that the item is available. When you pick up the item be sure to sign the sign-out sheet in the office.  When you return the item, please sign it back in.

  • ATTENTION!!! EVERYONE who uses the building for extra activities is responsible for picking up your trash and putting furniture back where it belongs.

LIFE GROUPS (small group studies) will meet this Sunday (7/6) at the following locations and times.  Please choose a location and time that is convenient for you.  Please click here for more information on Life Groups.

 

FREE CONCERT Acappella (Robin Brannon will be singing with them) will perform a FREE concert in Allen Arena mall at Lipscomb University at 8 PM this Friday, July 4th.  The concert is part of Acafest and Summer Celebration.  There will be fireworks in the mall area following the concert.

Mission News  The latest reports from Mark Hagewood and Danny Bratcher are available in the rear lobby.

New Wednesday Night Class  Joe Jones is teaching a class on the Psalms this summer on Wednesday nights at 7 PM in the Elder’s Conference Room.

Camp McKinney  is just around the corner.  The dates are July 24-27.  The place is beside the Buffalo River in Perry County.  The plans include the involvement of 4 local congregations in Perry County, a day at the nearby state park, canoeing on the river, horseshoe tournament, campfire devos, kickball, frisbee, golf and ending with a potluck lunch with the Beardstown church on Sunday.  Everyone is invited, adults as well as teens.  For details call Hugh Waddell (876-3400).  To sign up talk to David Roach.  Make plans now.

RECIPES NEEDED - A.S.A.P

The ladies want to compile a recipe book.  The book will contain all categories, but there will be special sections in the book for

  • Christmas Brunch Dishes

  • Diabetic Dishes

  • Helpful Hints

     You can submit as many recipes as you want.  You can also submit recipes “in memory” of a special relative who is deceased or “in honor” of a special relative who is still living. 

Please give your recipe(s) to either Linda Creek or Faye Riddle or email your recipe(s) to the church A. S. A.P.

MOTHER’S DAY OUT

Please call Naco Johnson at 268-0059 for any of the following...

  • people to come in once a month and read a story to our children

  • people who would like to be placed on the sub list when our teachers need to be out of work

  • openings in the 3 and 4 year old classes

Sympathy

Please remember the family  of Lee Gearlds in the death of his uncle, Franklin Averitt.  His services were 6/29 in Ashland City.

Bible Bowl is open to all young people who are going into the 2nd grade up to 12th grade for this upcoming school year.  There is an information table set-up in the rear of the auditorium.  If you wish to participate, please go by the table, pick-up an application and put your name down on the sign-up sheet. 

Due to so many having to leave early last week for Short Mountain, the deadline for sign-ups has been extended one week and there will be another orientation meeting this coming Sunday (7/6) immediately following the morning assembly.

 They offer 5 different screenings at a cost of only $149.00.  You may choose any or all of the 5 tests.  Call 1-800-324-1851 for more information or to pre-register.  Two of the screenings offered are for stroke risk and abdominal aortic aneurysm risk.  Do you have high cholesterol?  Do you smoke?  Do you eat fatty foods?  If yes you may want to consider being screened for stroke risk.  Do you have high blood pressure?  Are you more than 30 pounds overweight?  Are you male?  If yes, you may want to consider being screened for abdominal aortic aneurysm risk.

TEEN FUNDRAISERS

 GIFT CARDS FOR SALE  The teens are taking orders (year round) for gift cards.  You receive full dollar value of what you pay.  The teens will receive 1.5-19.25% from the sale (depending on which cards are bought).  There are gift cards for restaurants, department stores, movie rental and theatres, electronic stores, office supply stores, on-line shopping companies, pharmacies, bookstores, hardware stores, hotels and gas companies.  The order forms are on the table in the rear lobby.

Baptisms

   We rejoice with Colton Krantz.  He surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized into Christ for the remission of sins at Impact on Sunday night.

We rejoice with Leah Goldtrap.  She surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized into Christ for the remission of sins at Impact on Friday night.

CONGRATULATIONS TO David and Stacey Roach on the birth of their son, William Daniel.  He was born on June 17th and weighed 6 lb 12 oz.  Proud grandparents are Steve and Vicki Roach.

Theme:  POWER LAB...Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power!!!

     We have 5 nights of exciting, interactive, and energetic activities planned.  There will even be some strange, yet wonderful science experiments and even some Test Tube Treats! 

     Please remember to pre-register your 2 year old through 6th grader as soon as possible.  Registration forms are located in the Auditorium.  There will be an adult class in the auditorium.  We also encourage everyone to invite friends from the community.  We know from years past that personal invitations do make a difference!!
